Wedding Sneak Peek: 07.04.2008

Friday, July 18, 2008

Well, I am still proofing away on my sessions and the Wedding before, but as I promised here is a little sneak into the Wedding on July 4th :)

When trying to select my pics this time, I decided to really focus on some storytelling ones of what was done to make it easier to blog yet at the same time, I didn't spend too much time fretting over which one to show :)

So, girls all started the day at a great little Salon in Dieppe (Today's Hair Designs) . The stylists there were absolutely amazing and did a superb job on everyone's hair. Here is a pic of the bride getting some of the final touches done on her hair.

After hair, it was time for make-up and everyone all met at the Salon at the Memramcook Institute. It was fun to watch the professionals at work. I will say, it was a little hot in that room, and I was wondering how the make-up would hold up under the heat - but I think it stayed flawless through the rest of the day / evening. They did a wonderful job at making everyone look glamorous.

Well, with hair and make-up done, we headed up to the honeymoon suite to get everyone into their gorgeous gowns. While waiting for all to get into their garbs, I took the opportunity to take some detail shots of the dress, rings, flowers, garter and more. Here is a little peak of the rings, flowers and garter belt before the bride put them all on and we got ready to depart for formal pictures.

Before we left, I managed to snap a few pictures of the bride making sure she was all ready / looking good for pictures. I kept thinking to myself she looked like a movie star :)

No Wedding in complete without pictures of the Bride and Groom with their family -- and these two rascals had to be included in a few shots. Taken very quickly as they were not exactly in the posing mood, I just love how this shot looks like everyone is smiling and happy :)

The Bride and her girls were a ton of fun and a blast to be around. We decided to do a few fun shots to mix in with the standard formals ones and I am showing one of my favorite here as they show off their matching garters.

Not to be outdone by the girls, they guys had to get into the play and have some fun too. Here they all are looking quite dapper as they try to pick up the girls (who I think were more interested in taking that great car for a drive then picking up the men)

I managed to get a bit of alone time with the bride and groom to take some shots of them before they all headed out to the church in Shediac. It was a very hot and sunny day, but we managed to find a little bit of shade beside the great stone building (which you will see in the next shot). I took the opportunity to use this shade to our advantage to get some shots of just the two of them without the glare of the sun bothering us. These two were naturals in front of the camera and managed to look relaxed and at ease, when I am sure they had butterflies in their bellies as the wedding was drawing very near.

I couldn't help but to take some shots of just the bride against the gorgeous stone wall .. I have a whole set of shots of her at this spot -- all equally as gorgeous. I picked this one to showcase her dress. I know my Watermark is likely covering some of the rest embroidery of her train -- this dress was among the favorite I have seen.

After the formals, it was time to take the drive to Shediac for the ceremony! The church was beautiful and thankfully the father let me take as many shots as I wanted through the ceremony. I love catching some of the little things that many people don't noticed - here the bride grabbed the hand of the groom and I was sure to zoom in and get a nice close-up. To me, small shots like this really convey the emotion of the day -- and bring back memories of my own wedding.

I had a perfect vantage point to catch the emotions of the bride and groom as they went through their nuptials. Since I didn't have to move around much, I really spent time in watching the ceremony and finding spots where I could capture the joy that these two were exuding. Here was a perfect opportunity - I just love their expressions in this shot.

Well, again, I am over the limit of 10 shots I promised myself I would try to keep my sneak peeks to -- Oooops lol. Oh well, as I said before, I have never been really good with rules. These sneak peeks are hard -- I want to show so much more, but I know I need to limit myself.

So, before I leave ya - I will show this one last shot of the bride and groom during their first dance. Now, take one look at this shot, and tell me you can't feel their love ;) Again, I was so blessed to be able to be part of their day - I had a lot of fun and look forward to being able to devote my efforts into a complete proofing of the day.
